🛡 Child Safety — Zero Tolerance

Child Safety Standards

Last updated: June 2026

1. Our Commitment

Zaijat has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse, exploitation, and any content or conduct that endangers minors. The platform is restricted exclusively to adults aged 18 and over. Protecting children is a non-negotiable obligation rooted in both Islamic principles and universal human values.

These standards apply to all users, administrators, and anyone who interacts with the Zaijat platform or community.

2. Age Requirement — 18+

Registration on Zaijat is strictly limited to persons who are at least 18 years of age. During registration:

  • Users self-certify their age and agree that they are 18 or older.
  • Our moderation team reviews new profiles and may request ID verification when age is uncertain.
  • Accounts suspected of belonging to a minor are suspended immediately pending review.
  • Confirmed underage accounts are permanently deleted and the matter is escalated to our safeguarding team.

3. Prohibited Content & Conduct

The following are absolutely prohibited on Zaijat:

  • Creating an account on behalf of, or assisting, anyone under 18 to access the platform.
  • Any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including text, images, or links — wherever sourced.
  • Grooming behaviour: building inappropriate emotional relationships with minors online or offline.
  • Soliciting, exploiting, coercing, or endangering a child in any way through the platform.
  • Any sexualised reference to or interaction involving minors.
  • Sharing personal information about minors for any purpose.

Accounts found to have engaged in any of the above are removed immediately. Evidence is preserved and handed to law enforcement or child protection authorities as legally required.

4. Detection & Moderation

We employ the following measures to detect and prevent harm to minors:

  • Human moderation: our admin team reviews profiles and reported content.
  • In-app reporting: every profile has a "Report" button that submits a case to our safety team immediately.
  • Age-signal review: profiles with suspicious age indicators are flagged for manual review before activation.
  • Escalation protocol: credible reports of child endangerment are escalated to law enforcement; we do not wait for a legal order before reporting imminent danger to a child.

5. How to Report a Concern

If you encounter any account or content that you believe involves or endangers a minor:

  • In-app: tap the "Report" button on the profile or message and select "Child Safety."
  • Email: safety@zaijat.com — we treat all child safety reports as urgent.
  • If a child is in immediate danger: contact your local emergency services (999 / 112 / 911) first, then report to us.

We investigate all credible reports promptly. Reports can be made anonymously. We do not penalise good-faith reports even if unsubstantiated.

6. Reporting to Authorities

Zaijat complies fully with applicable laws on mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse. Where we discover CSAM or exploitation, we:

  • Remove the content or account immediately.
  • Preserve evidence in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Report to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), NCMEC CyberTipline, or the equivalent national authority in the user's jurisdiction.
  • Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.

7. Designated Safety Contact

All child safety concerns and safeguarding enquiries should be directed to our designated safety officer at: safety@zaijat.com

We aim to acknowledge all safety reports within 24 hours and resolve or escalate within 72 hours.

8. Related Policies

These standards should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, both of which reinforce the 18+ age requirement and zero-tolerance conduct rules.

Report child safety concerns immediately
